GMHC has created a new website on toxic substances at work. The site is to provide workers and their trade union representatives with a ‘one stop shop’ to access information, innovative solutions and case studies. Trade union safety reps and members can find lots of useful information and tools about reducing and eliminating exposure to toxic substances at work.

Information and guidance includes:

• Legal information about COSHH, HASWA and other relevant legislation

• A summary of what is happening on safety at a national and international level

• Examples of good practice and case studies

• Links to reputable sources of information and advice

• A priority list of most common problems

• Tools for safety reps to use in their workplace on the principles of Toxics Use Reduction (TUR)

• A UK and international network of best TUR information and practice

• Gender and sex specific information
